Wen Paisley | Riceton, SK
Wen is a nonbinary Metis artist of Ojibwa descent. They enjoy working in two-dimensional media: including digital photography, pen and ink drawing, charcoal, coloured pencils, watercolour, acrylic and oil paints.
Recently expanding into three-dimensional mediums such as polymer clay, wire, and ribbon, Wen also enjoys incorporating leather, moss, antler and other natural products into their work. They often work in miniature, sculpting fine details with dental picks and sewing needles.
Wen’s work centers around nature, magic, and whimsy. Their sculpted jewelry and accessories often feature mushrooms, dragons, and flower motifs.
