Glass
Glass is my passion. Its very anamorphic nature encapsulates how I interact with the world. A pane of glass, exposed to wind over years does not fail because it is constantly being stressed by the wind. Experience builds resilience.
In my journey to understand glass, I have studied with several masters in Europe. I explored traditional stained glass in Sienna and glass painting in Ludlow, England. I have also studied various techniques and possibility of forms in various workshops, including pate de verre at Bullseye Glass in Portland, Oregon.
At the moment, my favorite themes are bridges between the past and the present, the value of artifacts, and allegory.
