As a self-taught sculptor in Saskatoon, Don has specialized in wireworks for 23 years to fashion quirky Animalia from a wide variety of repurposed and recycled wires and meshes. Over 1400 of his convincing critter images are among international collections in all Canadian Provinces, 24 US States, and 12 foreign countries.
His monumental barbed wire bison “Don’t Fence Me In” is a roadside national heritage sculpture located in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.
