Lorraine began as a production potter in 1975 but currently produces one of a kind paper clay sculptures and porcelain pieces. She has been experimenting with different ways of firing from an electric kiln for a few years. She settled upon the horse hair and slip resist techniques which are traditionally done in an outdoor kiln but she has been able to make this work in the studio.
She holds a Ceramics Diploma from SIAST and is a member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council, The Saskatoon Potters Guild, Sask Terra, Mudslingers critique group and Clay Studio Three.
She has been accepted into many juried exhibitions and has pieces in collections in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario, England, Korea and the Bahamas.
Before clay she was known for her paintings and drawings in multiple mediums.
